The Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency (KWSPHCDA), in collaboration with its partners, today officially flagged off the November 2024 round of the polio immunization campaign across all 16 Local Government Areas of the state.
The campaign aims to protect children under 5 years of age from poliomyelitis, with health workers conducting house-to-house visits and administering the Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) in markets, schools, religious centers, and other public spaces.
Speaking during the flag-off, officials emphasized the importance of immunization in preventing polio paralysis and urged parents to ensure their children receive the free and safe vaccine.
Polio prevention is a shared responsibility. Let’s work together to protect our children and secure their future.
