Kwara State Local Government Council Elections will be held across the 16 local government areas of the state on September 21, 2024, according to a statement by the electoral body.
In a press release signed by the KWSIEC chairman, Okanla Baba, on Thursday and obtained by Just Event Online TV, the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission said:
“Arrangements are being put in place to make this happen within the set date. We will give further breakdown on the election Time Table of activities soon, all things being equal.
We urge all stakeholders to follow our public communications, updates, and get ready for the elections within the time frame.”
It will be recalled that the last time Local Government elections were held in Kwara State was in 2017 during the reign of former governor AbdulFatai Ahmed.
