The Oyun Water Works in Ijagbo will soon begin to test run, the Kwara State Government has declared.
The State Commissioner for Water Resources, Dr.(Mrs.) Risikatullahi Mopelola Abdulmaliq-Bashir dropped the hint at the weekend in Ijagbo, Oyun Local Government, during her visit to the town to inspect the ongoing facility.

The test run is the final stage of the renovation and rehabilitation work being embarked upon by the state government at the Oyun water works.
Abdulmaliq-Bashir, it would be recalled, has been carrying out on the spot assessment of all the ongoing water projects in the state in the past few weeks.
She disclosed that rehabilitation work at Oyun Water Works has reached about 78 percent completion, and directed the contractor handling the project to quickly test run the facility to alleviate the problem of water supply in the area.
Abdulmaliq-Bashir, who also paid similar inspection visits to Erin-Ile and Ira water works, pledged the state government’s determination to complete the two projects in due course.
She explained that rehabilitation of Erin-Ile water works has reached about 85 percent completion, while the level of work at Ira water works is put at 70 percent completion.
The representative of Peace One Limited and the contractor handling the Oyun water project, Engr. Mohammed Bello Awwal promised to give a final touch on the rehabilitation work.
Earlier, the Zonal Engineer, Engr. Alao Abdulhamid, who conducted the Commissioner round the three water works, confirmed that the contractors are executing the work in accordance with the agreed specifications and standards.
