KWSG: Group request the extension of Ogbondoroko/Ori-Eru Township Tarred road

Cooperative group, Omowunmi Global Consult has requested governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq to extend Ogbondoroko/Ori-Eru township tarred road in Asa Local Government areas of Kwara.

In an open letter to the governor signed by the President and Secretary of the union, Alhaji Ibrahim Yusuf and Hajia Sulyman Saleem F. urged the governor to look into the two previous letters sent to his office for prompt consideration.

The union also proposed an estate in the name of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

They appreciated the governor for the honour and step taken so far by the Ministry of Works to visit the site and for further action towards the execution of the project.

“The Management Board directed to notify your Excellency about the achievement made so far in respect of membership benefits in terms of loans granted to members which revolve monthly. As of present from January 2022 to October 2022, the union revolving capital is Two Billion and Six Hundred Million Naira Only”.

The union stated that it has contributed to the state economy, and has successfully assisted indigene in the state approximated fifty thousand members (50,000) of Ninety-six societies has used loan granted to them to execute various businesses within and outside the state. Added that the union has contributed immensely to employment generation through the appointment of staff (55 staff) that cross over various disciplines

Furthermore, through the project executed by the union, various professionals and Artisans have benefited immensely which has improved their well-being in the state.

The union said the road will facilitate many opportunities for the state in terms
of revenue generation if tarred.

“Omowumi-Ilorin Housing Estate, Federal Government Housing Estate, Proposed Estate in the name of your choice Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq and some Agro Allied Functionaries on the ground”.

It pleaded for immediate intervention to approve the infrastructure of the said road, as they pledged support for his re-election in the 2023 general election.

“Your Excellency Sir, with your great performance and effort in the provision of infrastructural facilities and others to take Kwara State to a greater height and to provide comfort to the citizens and other people living in the state. The union pleads for your quick intervention to approve the infrastructure of the road (Ogbondoroko / Ori-eru Road).”

With humbleness and due respect, it is the desire of the Management Board and the entire members to seek your approval to have a meeting with you sir at your convenience. Furthermore, the union wishes to tell you that we are solidly behind you and support your mandate to emerge victorious at the poll coming to the 2023 General Election
