KWSG flags off training for newly recruited TESCOM teachers

The Kwara State Gov. Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq has flagged off training for the newly recruited Teaching Service Commission TESCOM, teachers on Wednesday

The orientation program organized for the newly recruited Senior Secondary School Teachers by Kwara State Teaching Service Commission, TESCOM in conjunction with the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools, ANCOPPS, Kwara State Chapter was held in Queen Elizabeth Secondary School, Ilorin. G

Gov AbdulRazaq who is represented by Secretary of the State Government, Prof Maman Jubril who delivered the Governor’s speech said, “I am proud to say that the very brilliant teachers that were recently engaged and are being given institutional training today are a legacy of our administration.

We have successfully redefined how things should be done in the education sector. We raised the bar of how to engage those who hold the key to the future of our children. That is our legacy for history to judge”.

The Gov commends the management of the Teaching Service Commission for the training session, also urges the newly recruited teachers to make the State proud.

“We want to see our efforts materialize in the quality of teaching, care, and commitment. We will do our best in the area of welfare, especially promotion, and related perks.

I am aware of the hitches in the payment of the package for those we recently affected their promotion from 2017. this has been rectified. We are sorry about that. I urge them to kindly be patient”.

The Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibo Kawu praises Gov Abdulrahman for his unbiased efforts towards the teacher’s recruitments process, charged the teachers to be impact-driven, added that they should not go to the classroom with aggression.

She urged them to be mentally prepared to impact knowledge and must be active while discharging their duties, She, however, wished them success in their endeavors and all walks of life

Mrs. Adebisi who represented prof. Adaramaja congratulated the new teachers and charged them to always be proud of their profession, She commended gov AbdulRazaq as he put teachers at the top of his agendas, added that the recruitment process was made transparent.

She applauded the Teaching Service Commission for the induction training, She also urged them to take their job very important and should discharge their duties effectively

Hajia Modibo, while touring around the Queen Elizabeth School commended the efforts of gov Abdulrahman and other individuals who have in one way or the other contributed greatly towards the improvement of the school premises and the hostels.

She charged the students to be focused on their studies as they become the future leaders of the country She however acknowledged the Principals and the entire staff of the school for their positive impact on the students, especially the exchanged students of the school.
