A large crowd gathered at Manyan village, Asa local government area of Kwara State, on Thursday for the fidau prayer of Alhaja Sarat Titilayo Ajike Shittu, the grandmother of Hon. Rukayat Shittu, member representing Owode Onire Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly (KWHA).
The Council of Ulamah, led by Chief Imam of Alapa, Sheikh Ambali Abass, offered a heartfelt prayer for the late Alhaja Shittu, seeking God’s forgiveness and mercy, and praying for her to be granted Aljanah Firdaus as her final abode.
They also offered prayers for the children and grandchildren of the deceased, urging them to find strength and solace in the memories they shared with her. The family was advised to continue to remember her in their prayers, acknowledging her impactful life.
Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Salihu Danladi, led a delegation of KWHA members to the fidau prayer, where they prayed for God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The event was a testament to the respect and admiration for Alhaja Shittu’s life and legacy.
