KWASSIP, the Kwara State Social Investment Programme, has provided updates on the application process for KWAPRENEUR 4.0. The program received a total of 11,696 applications from across all 16 local governments in Kwara State. The applications cover a wide range of professions, including fashion designing, small-scale provision business, agriculture, transportation services, and more.
The breakdown of the applications is as follows: 3,467 for agribusinesses (farming, foodstuffs, productions, and agro machineries); 340 for construction; 1,155 for food processing; 1,278 for manufacturing; 74 for transportation; 1,159 for ICT; 4,091 for trade; and 132 for retail. The majority of applicants, 96%, fall within the age range of 18 to 40 years, and the ratio of male to female applicants is 59.80% to 40.20%.
KWASSIP is currently screening these applications to select those that meet the program’s requirements and criteria. Starting this week, successful applicants will begin receiving text messages to inform them of the next stage of the process to determine the final beneficiaries of KWAPRENEUR 4.0.
