Leader of AJETS Surveys, Pastor Surveyor Tope Ajetunmobi has exposed the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) for its alleged involvement in land grabbing, properties demolition, and forceful acquisition, affecting over 5,000 internally displaced persons along Oke-oyi, Tanke pipeline road to Babaode, Ilorin, Kwara State, while demanding N400b compensation.
The demolitions, which occurred in March 2018, resulted in devastating losses of lives, properties health damages, unlawful eviction and invalidity of documents.
In a press conference on Tuesday in Ilorin, the state capital, Pastor Ajetunmobi said, despite efforts by the Federal House Committee on Legislative Compliance, NNPCL has continued to frustrate efforts and cover up years of corruption.
Ajetunmobi revealed that NNPCL’s false claims of an unrestricted license, deceiving the Nigerian Army, and failing to provide evidence of a presidential order have been exposed.
The victims however appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to address the issue and ensure they are compensated within seven days, otherwise, the GCEO of NNPCL to excuse himself from office.
