I was in Kwara State today, to attend the event commemorating the National Youth Day celebration by the National Youth Assembly, YAN, Kwara Chapter.
Before the event commenced, I paid a courtesy visit to Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq, the Executive Governor of Kwara State.
I told the governor of my impression with his policy of giving political space to youth and women
I also commended his efforts in restoring the dignity of the state that has been plagued and held hostage by long years of political and economic slavery.
I was emphatic that never again shall Kwara be enslaved, and that the State will NEVER go back to the slavery that arrested the development of Kwara and Kwarans for decades.
On the current crisis in the state chapter of the APC, I am confident that it will be resolved as a family affair in a family way.
I am also sure that the feuding parties will consider the larger interest of the people at heart and resolve to move the state forward.
Infact going forward is the only way forward for Kwara.
In his response, the governor thanked me and my entourage for the visit and promised to continue in his resolve to reposition the state and restore its glory.
