The Institute of Technology, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, held its 7th Annual International Conference on Thursday, focusing on “Advancing Engineering, Science, and Technology to combat contemporary socio-economic challenges in Nigeria”.
Guest lecturer, Engr. Yusuf Aliyu FNSE, emphasized the importance of advancements in Engineering, Science, and Technology in addressing Nigeria’s socio-economic problems.
He highlighted how technological advancements have enhanced traditional security services among other improvements.
Lead Paper Presenter, Prof. Yusuf Lanre Shuaib-Babaita, stressed the link between science and technology, leading to innovation, adaptation, and development globally.
In their various remarks, Dr. Mary Arinde, Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Awolola Felicia Olabisi, Deputy Rector Academics, Kwara State Polytechnic and Director IOT, Mrs Ruth Modupe Baiyeri urged students to utilize acquired skills to improve their educational pursuits, while commending gov AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his support
