In a commendable move towards enhancing the security infrastructure in Kwara State, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has provided a boost to the local security apparatus by delivering 32 brand-new patrol vans and 160 motorcycles to all 16 Local Government Councils. This initiative, aimed at reinforcing the safety and well-being of the state’s residents, has been lauded by the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) for its potential to counteract growing insecurity concerns.
This was contained in a statement made available to Just Event Online TV by PCRC State Chairman, Alhaji Akanbi Lawal expressed his appreciation for Governor AbdulRazaq’s commitment to addressing the rising security challenges in Kwara.
He highlighted that the provision of these modern and efficient vehicles and motorcycles would greatly augment the efforts of local security agencies in curbing criminal activities across the state. With a better-equipped security infrastructure, the PCRC anticipates a significant reduction in criminal incidents, fostering a safer environment for the citizens.
The deployment of these vehicles and motorcycles is expected to enable quicker response times, effective patrolling, and heightened surveillance in both urban and rural areas, the statement said.
