The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps on Monday unveiled the command promotion exam centre. The centre will enable the officials who are due for promotion write their various exams
NSCDC commandant Umar J.J Mohammed said this while speaking with the newsmen in Ilorin. He noted that accreditation has already commenced added that the exam will hold on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The Commandant said the act of bringing the centre to Kwara will lessen the burden of it’s officials going to Niger state for the exam in this period of economy crisis in the country
I have almost 1,300 officers that will go to Niger to write the promotional exam which is not so easy with the economy of the country, he added.
Mohammed therefore urged the officers not to be bias in discharging their various duties. He equally charged them on a good conduct during and after the exam exercise.
While appreciating the new Commandant, Alangua of Opolo and Chairman Alangua Magaji Forum, Alh. Zulqarnain AbdulRaman appreciated him for bringing the new development to Kwara State.
In the same vein, the command also paraded 6 suspects from Tanke area of Ilorin for burglary and theft
Commandant Muhammad listed the items recovered from them to include iron rod, handset, generator among others
He said the Corps will charge them to court and monitor for prosecution, so that won’t go back and terrorize the community again.
However, the suspects in separate interview admitted to their charges as they pleaded for mercy.
