Kwara Northerners unveiled KWANDCO, says it will promote infrastructural development

The Chairman, Kwara North Development Council (KWANDCO), Com. Jerry Maajin Kolo has said that Kwara North is in the current state of progression, blessed with a team of developmental players, ranging from Sen. Pharm. Sadiq Umar, Speaker KWHA, Rt Hon Yakubu Danladi and others

He disclosed this in Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital on Monday while addressing the journalists as he unveiled KWANDCO

“KWANDCO is a new child of necessity in the circumstance for the need to call a spade – a spade in our strive to promote the primary goal of our people which is basically centered upon the development of the zone”

Jerry maintained that the council have not just come to stay to reshaping the narrative of our zone as it is interestingly receiving the needed attention in the positive, but to also promotes a partnership that will attract and encourage sustainable infrastructural development needed to fill all the long-term vacuum created by past systems.

“For us at KWANDCO, it is no longer news that our zone is getting the desired attention under the Government and the leadership of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq towards bridging the gaps of our infrastructural deficit. But, the good news is the passion and goodwill to which such commitment is anchored”

Jerry posited that the Kwara Northerners working with the State government are working hard to change the negative story of the region from that of an abandoned and extremely exploited region to a positive and attention driven zone, with substantial proves of physical project and human capacity development to change the narratives, adding that they have improved the lives of the people and the environment to an extent which is highly commendable

“Like Oliver Twist, we will always ask for more as it is needed but not without appreciating the much that has been done”

He expressed gratitude to their representatives who are currently making bold steps to changing the narratives of the region from its negative past into the positive presence. Adding that KWANDCO will actively get involved in the developmental politics of value addition.
