Hon. Chief Lawal Ayanshola Saliu, Chairman of the House Committee on Transportation, Kwara State House of Assembly, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Chief Hon. Stephen Wole Oke, describing him as a visionary leader and a stalwart of Kwara State politics.
In his condolence message obtained by Just Event Online TV , Hon. Ayanshola paid tribute to the late Chief Oke’s exceptional leadership and dedication to community development, particularly during his tenure as House Leader of the Kwara State House of Assembly in 1983.
He noted that Chief Oke was instrumental in facilitating basic amenities for Shao and other wards he represented, earning him the admiration and respect of his people.
“Chief Oke was a true champion of the people, always prioritizing their welfare and development. His legacy will continue to inspire generations of leaders and citizens alike,” Hon. Ayanshola stated.
He extended his condolences to Chief Oke’s family, the Ohoro of Shao, and the entire Shao community, praying for strength to bear the irreparable loss.
“May his soul rest in perfect peace,” he added.
