The Executive Secretary, Kwara State Hospital Management Board, Dr Abdulraheem Malik, is the Guest Speaker at the 38th edition of Media Parliament of the Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
Themed “Managing Brain Drain and other Health Sector’s Challenges: Kwara State Government Approach”, the media parliament will hold on Thursday, 17th of August, 2023 at NUJ Press Centre, Offa Road, GRA, Ilorin at 10am.
In a statement issued in Ilorin, the Chairperson and Secretary of Kwara NUJ Media Parliament Committee, Fatimah Rasheed and Babajide Fadeyi respectively, said the theme of the parliament was conceived to critically dissect the adverse effects of mass exodus of Medical Doctors and the approach of the Kwara State Government to stem the tide.
It added that the forum would afford Dr Malik, former Chief Executive Officer, Rotamedics Pharmacy, the opportunity to share his wealth of experiences and interact with leading lights in the media industry on the leeway to tackle the multifarious challenges in the health sector.
The Media Parliament Committee urged members of the state council of NUJ across chapels to prepare adequately for the event and attend promptly.
