Office of the Women Empowerment led by Special Assistant on Women Empowerment to Kwara State Gov, Hajia Bolanle Ismail, on Thursday empowered 350 Women across 16 Local Government Areas of the State with cash and working tools
The empowerment program was held at the Kwara State Government House, Ahmadu Bello way Ilorin.
Hajia Bolanle in her remark said the present administration under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq sees entrepreneurship as creative problem solving, not only in the business realm but in every undertaking.
According to her, at the moment of transformation like this, it is vital to have support architecture organizations, mentors, networks, and training so that we can enact our brilliant, game-changing ideas. Adding that we are incredibly fortunate to have all of these in the road map of the incumbent government”.
Speaking through Hajia Serifat Bolaji, Hajia Ismail said the present administration has been very supportive to women more than any past administration in the history of the state.
She added that the present government takes poverty alleviation programs as the fulcrum to drive Kwarans through a developmental stride to an enviable zenith.
She posited that it is on record that thousands of women have benefited from series of empowerment and poverty alleviation programs from the most celebrated man, the best Governor of the year as being proclaimed by the Leadership Newspaper.
“Governor AbdulRazaq is always ready to rekindle the lost hope and bring laughter to Kwaran women”.
Kwara State Governor ably represented by his Deputy, Mr. Kayode Alabi commended the office of SA women empowerment for the laudable and life-changing program, urging the beneficiaries to use the tools judiciously
The items freely distributed were a Complete sewing machine, Hairdressing equipment, complete grinding machines, Deep freezers, Makeup kits, and N50K each for 80 women
Among the beneficiaries, the visually impaired mother was given a complete grinding machine
