Kwara Govt Donates 500 Mattresses, Double Bunks Bed to Government Secondary School, Ilorin

 

The Kwara State Government has donated 500 mattresses and double bunk beds to Government Secondary School Ilorin.

Making the donation in Ilorin today, the Commissioner for Education and Human Development, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, said the intervention is part of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration’s efforts to enhance a conducive learning atmosphere.

“I urge you to make good use of the facilities provided so that the government will be encouraged to do more.
And to the management, we call on you to complement the efforts of the government by ensuring adequate supervision and security for management and protection of the facilities provided”, Hajia Modibbo Kawu stated.

The provision of double-decker beds and 500 mattresses to this great school will not only assist the students in solving the accommodation problems but also equip them to be more focused on their studies.

Earlier in his response after officially receiving the items, the Principal of the college Baba Awodi expressed gratitude to the state government for the timely gesture.

Awodi assured that the items will be put to use immediately

The head prefect of the school, Adeshina Umar Faruk, also appreciated the government on behalf of the students and promised to follow due process in the use of the facilities. The donation of the bedding materials underscored the fact that governance has continued apace in Kwara State, even in a period just before a major election cycle in the country.
