Kwara govs ask appointees with ambitions to resign



Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, have directed all their appointees who have political ambitions to resign.

AbdulRazaq gave his appointees till Friday to resign.

The  governor’s directive was contained in a statement by the SSG, Prof Mamman Jibril, in Ilorin on Tuesday.

The statement read in part, “In line with provision of Section 84 (12) of the new Electoral Act, all Kwara State Government’s appointees seeking nominations for elective offices in the forthcoming primaries are hereby directed to resign.

“All resignation letters are to be submitted to the office of the Secretary to Kwara State Government no later than April 15, 2022.”
