The highly anticipated Kwara Futures Exhibition, holding on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Kwara State Banquet Hall, will spotlight groundbreaking innovations developed by students of the Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Programme.

The event will feature practical, student-built solutions addressing real challenges in agriculture, education, healthcare, and community development across Kwara State.

After months of hands-on training in coding, web development, and problem-solving, participants from all 16 local government areas will present functional projects that reflect both creativity and community insight.

Highlighted Student Projects:

Smart School Attendance System (Etsu Mamman Saba Secondary School, Batakpan):
A facial recognition and QR code-based system automating student attendance, eliminating manual errors, and improving school administration efficiency.

Report Card Generator (Ilorin Grammar School):
A digital tool that automates result processing, reduces teachers’ workload, ensures accuracy, and builds reliable student data records.

Farm Expense Tracker (IPF e-Library, Igbaja):
A simple financial management app helping local farmers track expenses, improve accountability, and boost productivity.

Speaking on the significance of the event, Hon. Kayode Ishola, Special Assistant on Digital Innovation, said:

“What we are witnessing is not just a display of technical skills, but the rise of Kwara’s next generation of problem-solvers. With the right tools and guidance, our young people are creating impactful solutions that improve lives and drive community development.”

The exhibition underscores Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON’s visionary investment in human capital development and digital transformation. Through the Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Programme, now expanded to 50 public schools and benefitting over 5,600 students, the state government continues to build a strong foundation for a tech-driven, knowledge-based economy.

These student innovations—ranging from classroom automation to agri-tech tools—reflect the Governor’s belief that innovation is a practical instrument for progress, not an abstract idea.

The Kwara Futures Exhibition is open to the public and welcomes technology enthusiasts, educators, investors, and media representatives eager to witness firsthand how digital education is shaping the future of Kwara’s youth and economy.
