The Honourable Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Kwara State, Hajiya Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, organized a One-Day Workshop for Women Leaders at the ward levels, in both Ilorin East and South Local Government Areas, themed: *Empowering Women for Effective Leadership and Management Skills
According to her, the decision to organize the program was informed by complaints from the women leaders, of not being recognized, and being undervalued in their wards, when they paid independent courtesy visits, to her office. It was also reflective of the zeal to impart on women, some of what she learned, at the All Progressives Congress (APC) women’s conference, recently held at Abuja.
Emphasis made on Leadership and Management were all about selflessness, transparency, accountability, and developing others, without losing focus. She reaffirmed commitment to work with, and support for women, generally, while assuring them of even distribution of opportunities in her capacity.
Present at the highly impactful workshop were All Progressives Congress (APC), State Women Leader, Hajiya Falilat Muhammad;
Local Government Women Leaders, Mrs. Abdulkareem Ayodeji and Mrs. Owolabi Taibat, Ilorin South and Ilorin East Local Government respectively; Hajia Falilat Patako, an Elder from Ilorin South; a stalwart of the APC, Hajia Kuburat; and all Women Leaders at Ward Levels from both Ilorin East and South Local Government Areas.
