The Kwara State Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Abdulmaliq-Bashir Mopelola Risikatullahi has reiterated the commitment of the present administration in the state to provide clean and safe water to every nook and cranny of the state.
The Commissioner made the statement while on an unscheduled visit to Ikerin-Opin in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Hon. Mopelola stated that the state government is leaving no stone unturned in her bid to make water available and accessible to every part of the state.
The Commissioner also visited some Fulani communities in Ikerin-Opin to inspect the site for the ongoing borehole projects across some locations in the state, advised the people to hold the administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to his words on its policy thrust of providing water and eradicate water-borne diseases.
Responding on behalf of the community, a community leader, Alhaji Olalere Babalola thanked the Commissioner for the visit, which he described as the first of its kind in the community. The community leader also appreciated the infrastructural development and social welfare policy of the present administration with a promise to continue to support the re-election of Mallam Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq and all other APC Candidates in the forthcoming general election.
