Kwara Commissioner, Adenike Oshatimehin Conducts Community Impact Assessment in Ifelodun LG
Kwara State Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Hon Adenike Afolabi-Oshatimehin has conducted Community Impact Assessment in Ifelodun local government in order to identify priority needs of each community and complement government efforts towards improving citizen’s well being.
The Commissioner stated this on Thursday during the program held at St Michael Primary School Omupo, Ifelodun local government area to support Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq reelection.
In her address, Hon Harriet Adenike Afolabi-Oshatimehin said she is doing everything within her capacity to complement government efforts in addressing challenges facing different communities based on Community NEEDS Assessment from each wards.
According to her, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has done alot for Ifelodun local government and other parts of Kwara State. The Governor is leading by example and as a Commissioner I need to support His Excellency to do more for the people. The good works of OTOGE administration spread across the wards, from health, education, roads and water supply.
She urged party members to mobilize more people to register in the ongoing INEC Continuous Voter’s Registration, saying the people must reciprocate good gesture of the governor during the election.
The Chief Imam of Omupo and representative of Christian Association of Nigeria offered prayers for success of Abdulrazaq led administration in the state at program attended by hundreds of All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders drawn from eight wards in Ifelodun local government constituency B.
The former Federal lawmaker Sen Makanjuola Ajadi while speaking at the event used the occasion to shower encomiums on Honorable Commissioner for Solid Minerals for going extramile to support government in addressing challenges facing different communities with personal resources.
Our Correspondent reports that the commissioner also provided support items including Sewing machines, Gas cookers, Refrigerators, flat screen television sets, Agro chemical and bags of fertilizer to party stakeholders as well as Fulani community in the council area.
Earlier, the commissioner paid homage to Olupo of Omupo, Oba Yakubu Buari in his palace to intimate the monarch about numerous achievements of Governor Abdulrazaq in Omupo and its environs.
Dignitaries that graced the event include the Senior Special Assistant to Kwara State Governor on Solid Minerals, Amb Mohammed Abubakar Mohammed, Special Assistant to Governor on Women Empowerment, Kwara State ALGON Chairman and TIC Chairman Ifelodun local government, Hon Jide Ashonibare, APC State Women leader, Alhaji Obalola among others.
