Ahead of the 2023 general elections, Kwara Coalition of Prominent Support Groups, KCPSG, a political group under the All Progressive Congress party (APC), inaugurated its executives in a bid to ensure victory in the next elections.

The coalition which consists of over 40 different support groups in Kwara state, will embark on House to House Campaign for all APC candidates across the 193 wards in the state.

The group will also propagate reasons why Kwarans and residents of Kwara should support the reelection of Gov Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

Speaking at the event, the organizer and an APC chieftain, Hon. Barr. Salihu Bamidele Aluko said as the world is evolving, Democracy is also developing and therefore there is need to sensitize citizens on how to exercise their franchise.

He added that politicians should also be cautious of how they play politics, as it is not a do or die affair.

He lauded the achievements of Governor AbdulRazaq in the state and assured of his re-election in the next election.

Speaking on behalf of the party, Kwara APC Secretary, Alhaji Mustapha Ishowo, said inauguration of the support groups executives is an indication of citizens total support for the party.

He added that he is optimistic that APC will win in the forthcoming general elections

He commended the performance of Governor AbdulRazaq and urged him to continue the good work.

“It’s voluntary and it shows this party is loved by many. This will not be the first time the party is winning the election, as it has won in the previous years.”

On his part, the coordinator of Kwara coalition of support groups for APC, Olaitan Olalekan urged the executives and members of the group to be selfless and work harmoniously towards achieving success in the coming elections for the betterment of the state and country at large.

He noted that the group is ready to sensitize electorates on how to exercise their franchise and vote in the right leaders.

The political event was graced by Kwara APC House of Representatives candidate for Ilorin West/Asa federal constituency; Mukhtar Tolani Shagaya, APC Candidates for Ilorin North/West Constituency, Alh. Tundun Alanamu, APC House of Assembly candidate for Ilorin Central Constituency; Barr Oba Magaji Abdulkadir, party stalwart, among others.
