The Fulani community in Kwara state has declared support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates ahead 2023 general elections.
The Fulani Community led by Alhaji Usman Sule Jowuro Lamba made the declaration on Saturday during a visit to the immediate past Senate President Dr Bukola Saraki at Ilorin’s residence.
Alhaji Usman Sule Jowuro Lamba noted that Fulani has always been with the Saraki dynasty since the time of his father.
Also speaking on behalf of the group Head of Fulani in Ajase Ipo, Irepodun local government area, Alhaji Aduragba Suleiman said the entire Fulani in Kwara state are ready to support all PDP candidates.
According to him, the Fulanis know differently when Saraki was in power and now that he is not in government.
Similarly, the Seriki Fulani Bacita, Alhaji Aliyu Mohammed Oro said Saraki has a special regard for the Fulani Community and they are ready to reciprocate his gesture by voting for his party.
In his remarks, Dr Bukola Saraki represented by the DG Kwara State PDP campaign council Prof. Ali Ahmad commended the Fulani community for declaring their support for the PDP.
Saraki promised that the PDP when voted into power will ensure everyone is carried along in the scheme of things and their support will not be taken for granted.
