The University of Ilorin Matriculates its Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin affiliated programme students on Wednesday, April 2024.
The ceremony was officially opened by the Deputy Registrar, Unilorin Dr. Ahmed Siddiq who represented the Registrar. He also introduced the dignitaries from the better by far University while the KWACOED Registrar, Honorable Yakubu Abdullahi Muhammed introduced the Management team of the College.
Giving her speech at the first matriculation ceremony of the affiliated programme, The Director, Directorate of Unilorin-Affiliated Programmes (DUAP), Mrs. A.O. Sanusi said, the occasion is a milestone in the journey towards academic excellence and collaborative partnership in the realm of education.
Speaking further, she commended the invaluable contributions of Prof. Abdulraheem Yusuf in facilitating our affiliation with the University of Ilorin.
She also appreciated the Ag. Provost, Dr. Shehu Jawondo, the Management and staff of College for tirelessly ensuring the smooth operation of the affiliated programmes.
The Ag. Provost also appreciated Prof. Abdulraheem Yusuf for the vital role he played towards the success of the Unilorin affiliated programmes. He also congratulated the matriculating students and urged them to uphold the quality and core values of Unilorin.
The Vice Chancellor, University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Oladipo Egbewole, (SAN) ably represented by the Director, Institute of Education, Prof. Abdulraheem Yusuf sincerely congratulated the matriculating students of the 2023/24 academic session.
Advising the students, he urged them to embrace the values of integrity, diligence, and excellence that are cornerstones of Unilorin. He further encouraged them to dream big, and cultivate a passion for learning and also make remarkable footprint beyond academic achievement during their moment of academic pursuit.
He also extended gratitude to the staff members for their commitment to nurturing great leaders and thinkers, reaffirming that Unilorin is committed to providing supports, opportunities and resources needed to thrive academically, professionally, and ensure quality delivery.
