The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaiama Ward I has officially expelled Prince Haliru Mahmud Dantsoho for actions that violated the party’s constitution.
The decision was communicated to Prince Haliru Mahmud Dantsoho through a letter outlining the alleged violations and referencing specific sections of the PDP Constitution 2017 (as amended).
In a letter obtained by Just Event Online TV on Monday, the party accused Prince Haliru Mahmud Dantsoho of breaching Sections 58 (1) (b), (f), (h), and S. (I) of the PDP Constitution 2017. The alleged violations were primarily related to his conduct and statements in videos that circulated widely on various social media platforms.
A query had been issued to Prince Haliru Mahmud Dantsoho, providing him an opportunity to address the concerns raised by the party. However, he reportedly failed to appear before the Disciplinary Committee established to investigate the matter and present his defense.
In response to his non-compliance, the Peoples Democratic Party in Kaiama Ward I has decided to expel Prince Haliru Mahmud Dantsoho from the party. The expulsion emphasizes the party’s commitment to upholding its principles, values, and maintaining discipline within its ranks.
The party spokesperson from Kaiama Ward I expressed the stance of the local PDP, stating, “The expulsion serves as a reminder of the importance of upholding the party’s principles and values, as well as maintaining discipline within the party ranks. The PDP in Kaiama Ward I firmly stands against any form of misconduct and unsubstantiated allegations against the party’s leadership.”
However, effort to reach Prince Haliru proved abortive as his phone numbers are switched off.
