The Chairman of Emirate Global Hotel, Justice Lambo Akanbi (rtd) has pledged unalloyed support for the forthcoming media sports fiesta tagged SWAN Games 2024 coming up at the last quarter of the year.
The former Commissioner For Youths and Information, pledged support for the media games on Wednesday when a delegation of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kwara State chapter, paid him a visit at his office in GRA, Ilorin.
According to Justice Akanbi (rtd) Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) is a very big sports organisation.
“I believe in your good work, energy and your passion to promote sports.
“I assure you that we will be part of your program.
“And by the special grace of God we would do whatever we can within the limit of our ability and financial capacity,” the retired jurist said.
The retired Judge who doubles as a golf player and lover, sponsored the successful The Emirate Hotel Ilorin Amateur Golf Tournament, 2024, which took place at the Ilorin Golf Club.
The competition attracted players from golf clubs across the country to Ilorin, Kwara State capital.
Earlier, the Chairman Kwara SWAN, Mallam Ayodeji Ismail commended Justice Akanbi for his huge investment in sports.
He said the retired judge’s contribution to the development of sports, especially YSFON, cannot be downplayed.
