The Jigawa State Government has inaugurated the State’s child protection implementation committee.
Secretary to the State Government, Abdulkadir Fanini inaugurated the committee in Dutse, the state capital.
Represented by the state commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajiya Yelwa Da’u said the setting up of the committee is to ensure proper implementation of child protection law in Jigawa children.
She noted that the children’s rights are being violated, which is why utmost attention from governments and other stakeholders is needed to ensure the rights of the voiceless children are protected.
Da’u tasks the committee to discharge their assignment diligently and ensure proper implementation of the child protection law in the state.
