It was a glamorous day, as Just Event Online Publications on Tuesday organized an interactive session with veteran journalists operating in Kwara State in commemoration of the 5th anniversary of the online media station.

One of the panelists, Alh Abdul-Hakeem Garuba from Channels TV, while delivering his own take one challenges and experiences in journalism profession said, journalist should be outspoken and must be ready to deliver at any time.
He advocates that there should be need for proper insurance for journalists in Nigeria.
Director of news and current affairs, Kwara State Television Services, Mr. Abayomi Adeniji while addressing the journalists at the JUST EVENT ONLINE PUBLICATIONS anniversary explained that, journalists should always start with commendation while conducting an interview, “else, such journalist will be tagged an hostile interviewer.”
Mr Adeniji posited that a journalists must ensure to have sound knowledge of the matter being investigating, as well as taking notes of links or sources of information is genuine.
In his message, he made a call to the state government to ensure that all journalists is ensued in state health insurance scheme.
Also, Mr. AbdulRasheed Akogun from Fresh Insight TV in his address, said, one of the challenges media often faces is discrimination.
According to him, neutrality is subjective in journalism, added that a journalist must work with conscience in order to be at peace.
Mr Alege, a TVC reporter in Kwara State said, a good journalist should be upright and not be bias in their reporting
Also, Mr. Ayodeji Ismail from Radio Kwara maintained that a reporter should apply wisdom when making a report.
Capping it all, Mr Jamal, TVC cameraman talked about creativity, dedication and remaining focus on the field.
