ITPA flag off free computer training for Nigerian Army

The Information Technology Professional Association ITPA in affiliation with the Kwara State Computer Professionals Association on Monday flagged off another phase of free computer training for officers of the Nigerian Army

The free training which is scheduled to hold for two weeks, focused on trainees of the Nigerian Army College of Education.

Recall, phase one the free training featured the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC and Kwara State Road Traffic Management Authority, KWARTMA officers.

Speaking on the purpose of the training, President of ITPA, Mr. Opakunle Ridwan noted that it is to ensure better security personnel, added that the courses to be taken include Database Management, Networking and Security Policies.

“IT has taken over the world and it’s the backbone of every developed countries.

Speaking further, he posited that the training will affect the security operatives imperatively.

On her part, Mrs. Olubukola Olubukayo Seeked for their cooperation and urged them to put in their best throughout the training session.

She promised that the training will be an experience of a lifetime, which they will always refer to.

She assured that the trainers will be committed, added that it will positively impact their operation in securing the State.

Declaring the training open, Commandant, Nigerian Army Institute of Science Education and Technology, Major Gen. BA Tsoho DSS TSM MTRCN FCIML Ph.Dw, who was represented by Major M. Marafa, Deputy Director, Research and Development posited that the m target of the training is to improve ICT skills within their staffs.

Provost of the Nigerian Army College of Education, Brig-Gen. AP Oguntola, DSS pjsc MTRCN MNARC ChMC MA, commended the organizers. He urged the beneficiaries to put the skills in good use while discharging their duties.

The training had in attendance, BOT Chairman, Ogunjobi ID card, High Chief Obaisa Ayodele, Patron of the Association, Omotayo Folorusho Joseph who is also the Publisher of Topstar Ltd, officers of the Nigerian Army among others
