The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, COREN, a professional body empowered to accredit training institutions and regulate the practice of engineers, technologists, technicians, and craftsmen in Nigeria has commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq led administration in the state.

Engr. Ahmed Kazeem Jatto who represented the Chairman, Kwara State Technical Committee of COREN, Engr. The Hon. Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engr. Suleiman Rotimi Iliasu, MNSE, ably represented, was also commended for ensuring strict compliance with COREN License as a major qualifying criterion for bidders.

The Contractors were enjoined to ensure Government gets value for the huge amount of money voted for the construction of the Twenty One (21) Roads to be awarded, and always remember that COREN will be on the lookout to apprehend and prosecute anyone found wanting.

The State Public Procurement Agency was also commended for the good work the Agency is doing.

It was emphasized that just like someone without a driver’s license isn’t qualified to drive; anyone found executing an Engineering Project without being Registered and Licensed is committing a great offense, and COREN STC will leave no stone unturned in stamping out Quackery from the Profession.
