The Kwara Progressives Media Organization (KPMO) wishes to address the public in anticipation of the forthcoming local government elections, as announced by KWASIEC, scheduled to hold on September 21, 2024.
Under the exemplary leadership of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the development and prosperity of Kwara State
In preparation for the upcoming elections, the APC has constituted a 42-member committee to oversee the primary elections and explore the possibility of reaching a consensus on candidates.
KPMO reiterates its full support for any candidate duly produced by our party to represent APC in these crucial elections.
However, we firmly warn that any individual within the APC who is not prepared to align with and continue the commendable work of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq should refrain from expressing interest in the upcoming elections.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has set Kwara State on a clear path to prosperity. Any prospective local government chairman must be prepared to follow the governor’s blueprint, further his good work, and align with his vision for a new Kwara. The governor’s efforts have brought unprecedented development across all local governments, simplifying the task for incoming local government chairmen. Therefore, it is imperative that any candidate seeking the support of KPMO and the APC must be committed to this vision of progress.
KPMO will not support any candidate who aims to take us backward. We believe in continuous development and will only support candidates who are dedicated to furthering the governor’s achievements.
Furthermore, KPMO is committed to ensuring that our great party, APC, emerges victorious in all 16 local governments of Kwara State. We will mobilize our members and the entire electorate, just as we did during the 2023 general elections, to secure a landslide victory for all APC candidates.
We call on all party members, stakeholders, and the good people of Kwara State to be prepared for the oncoming and join us in this journey towards a more prosperous and developed Kwara .
