The Kwara State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Hajiya Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu has charged Teachers in the State to continue to impact positively on their students for them to be productive and useful for themselves and the society at large.
The Commissioner stated this, during the official opening of a 2-day Workshop on “Promoting Teaching Excellence and Achievements in Nigeria (ProTEAN)”, organised by the U.S Embassy, Abuja in conjunction with TEA Exchange Program Alumni Nigeria, held at Government Secondary School, Ilorin, on Monday.
According to her, “This is an opportunity for you to learn new methodology of teaching and impact positively to your students for better performance.”
Hajia Modibbo Kawu revealed that the training is basically on Best Practices on Curriculum Development, Lesson Planning, Effective Technology Use and Students Centered Teaching in Nigeria Public Schools.
She reiterated the commitment of the present administration to the training and retraining of teachers, for effective and efficient teaching in the classroom.
