Ilorin Emirate Indigenes Express Condemnation Towards Yeye Ajesikemi’s Plans to Host Orisha Egbe Festival in the City

 

The Ilorin Emirate indigenes have voiced their strong opposition and condemnation towards Yeye Ajesikemi, a strange idol worshiper in the community, over her plans to host the Orisha Egbe Festival within the city on 24 of July 2023 at Oke Adini in Ilorin South LG.

The festival, which celebrates the Orisha deities of the Yoruba tradition, has stirred controversy and raised concerns among certain segments of the local population.

In a statement released by Muhammed Saliu Shafii and Rasaq Dayo on Friday which was obtained by Just Event Online TV, expressed their discontent with Yeye Ajesikemi’s decision to organize the festival, citing cultural, religious, and security concerns., they advised Yeye Ajesikemi not hold the festival in Ilorin as the city known as Islamic town

They argued that the event could potentially disrupt the harmony and social fabric of the community.

The statement further urged the relevant security operatives to take charge of the situation and ensure the maintenance of law and order. The concerned indigenes emphasized the need for a thorough evaluation of the potential consequences and risks associated with hosting such a festival in the city.
