Illustrious son of Kwara, Coordinator Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria, Kwara State Chapter who also doubles as Ajiyan Shonga, Mallam Adamu Ahmad Saba bagged an Honorary Doctorate Degree on Saturday 11 December 2021
A doctorate honorary degree of political science conferred by the American Heritage University of Southern California USA was a child of the necessity of Mallam Adamu Ahmed Saba’s stride in leadership and politics.
The event held at Ladi kali hall, Sheraton Hotel Abuja
The Man, Ajiyan Shonga is a native of a town called Shonga in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara state He is currently the Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Ahmed Saba Global Concept Ltd, and the Coordinator, Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria, Kwara State Chapter.
His contribution towards the development of his community cannot be exhausted here due to the limitation of time. He has in many times sacrificed his comfort for his people to enjoy a better life and peaceful coexistence.
His idea of what philanthropy and humanitarian services mean is the willingness of the privileged few in any society to subject themselves to some level of unease, discomfort, or even pains when the need arises to make life better for those who are not so privileged in the society.
As a young man, Adamu could have just focused on how to acquire wealth. But the inborn desire to always be in the midst of his people, to understand, share their feelings and help to lessen or stamp out their plight informed his altruistic and philanthropic lifestyle. He shares the philosophy that connecting with the populace will be mutually beneficial. For him, the downtrodden remain his kith and kin, neither does he allow ethnic and clannish consideration to drive his motives when he renders his humanitarian services but operate an open door policy.
This attitude earned him the chieftaincy title he was honored with by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Shonga. Mall. Adamu Ahmed Saba is currently the AJIYAN OF SHONGA,
which means ‘Treasure of Shonga Land’.
Mallam Adamu is a man of modest fortune who believes that ones’ comfort can only make meaning when he can put it at the services of humanity.
