The Ijagbo Descendants’ Union has felicitated the entire community on the newly appointed Onijagbo of Ijagbo, Oba Sharafadeen Adeniyi Buhari
This was contained in a goodwill message signed by the National President, Chief Tunde Agboola Oyawoye.
The release read in full,
“The Ijagbo Descendants’ Union (IDU) wishes to formally congratulate our new Kabiyesi, the new Onijagbo of Ijagbo, Oba Sharafadeen Adeniyi Buhari on his well deserved appointment.
“IDU also felicitates with the entire Ijagbo sons and daughters as well as all residents of Ijagbo on the successful appointment of a new Oba.
“We pray that the reign of Oba Sharafadeen Adeniyi Buhari will bring peace and unprecedented progress to our town.
“IDU notes that Oba Buhari is ascending the throne at a particularly challenging period when all efforts are required for peace and unity to be further entrenched and progress and greater prosperity to be attained. We pray that God gives our new Oba the strength, wisdom and most importantly the grace and guidance of God to lead Ijagbo to greater heights.
“We sincerely appreciate the Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his kind approval of new Oba for Ijagbo.
IDU promise His Excellency that we will work with our new Kabiyesi to build “bridges of harmony, understanding, tolerance and peaceful coexistence” amongst all sons and daughters and all residents of the town.
“We recognize and appreciate the commitment of the kingmakers and all other institutions involved in the selection process of our new oba.
“IDU wishes to request all people of Ijagbo to give the new Kabiyesi all the support and cooperation that he will require.
“We are confident Oba Buhari will justify the confidence reposed in him to deliver quality leadership to our town and work with other Obas for peace and progress in Ibolo land, Kwara State and the nation.
“May God guide our new Kabiyesi and bless Ijagbo land.
