The Igbaja People’s Forum (IPF) has commenced its 2024 Long Holiday Free Summer Lesson program for students in JSS 1 to SSS 3, aiming to provide educational support for them.
Addressing the students at the official flag-off, Elder Olaitan Oyin Zubair encouraged them to be diligent in their studies. He said program includes daily free meals for participants and offers scholarships and prizes for outstanding students at the end of the programme
Elder Zubair also commended the volunteer teachers for their dedication to Igbaja.
Speaking with Just Event Online TV, the lesson coordinator, Tajudeen Jimoh praised IPF for the initiative, noting its potential to significantly impact the students’ academic pursuits.
He disclosed that the program features experienced professional teachers, including three principals, retired teachers, and Mrs. Oyin Zubair among others.
The lessons are being held at ECWA Secondary School, running for five weeks from 9 am to 2 pm daily. Currently, 250 students have registered, with more expecting to join, he added.
