The embattled state Youth leader of People Democratic Party, Prince Haliru Dantsoho said he resigned from the party
In a letter signed by him and made available to Just Event Online TV on Monday
I wish to tender my resignation as a member of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaiama Ward 1, Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.
This decision is taken due to the failure of the PDP under the dictatorship of the former Senate President Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki to account for the 2023 PDP presidential election funds allocation to Kwara State, and the rascality, brigandage and the impunity with which the party is being run in the state.
You will recall that I was illegally suspended by the party due to my concerns raised about the 2023 PDP presidential election funds, a decision that was later rejected by the National Working Committee of the party on the 28″ of November, 2023 at its 578″ meeting held on Tuesday November 28″ 2023.
Since this development, there have been threats to my life and efforts to remove me through the back door, bribing the ward executives to remove me by force.
After all efforts in ensuring accountability, transparency and independence of the Party failed, and having realized that the party under the leadership of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki can no longer win any election in Kwara State, I have decided to take a honourable path by voluntarily resigning my membership of the People Democratic Party (PDP).
