A 4-day orientation, training, and empowerment program for women and youth in Ilorin East/South Constituency on Monday commenced at Convolis Event Hall, Sango Ilorin.
The initiative which is a collaborative effort between the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism and Hon. Dr. Yinka Ahmed Aluko, Member Representing Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency at Federal House of Representatives, Abuja , aimed to equip participants with valuable skills and knowledge to enhance their socio-economic status and contribute to community development.
Just Event Online TV reports, The participants trained on the rudiments of poultry farming, soap making, Vaseline, paint,and bleach making as the empowerment drive aligns with the Kwara State Government’s focus on women’s empowerment and youth development.
Hon. Yinka Aluko who was represented by Abdullahi Galadima said the gesture demonstrated the lawmaker’s committement to enhancing the socio-economic status of women and Youths in Ilorin East/South as well as their well-being and development of the constituency
The Honourable also provided start-up fund, N50,000 each and equipments for the beneficiaries to assist them in starting a new life and also become employers of labour, as they were also presented certificate of attendance.
Commending the initiative, the participants appreciated the gesture, saying the program will create a brighter future for the Ilorin East/South Constituency.
