In commemoration of his one year anniversary as a lawmaker, Hon. Muktar Tolani Shagaya, one of the youngest legislators in Nigeria, has organized a table tennis tournament to encourage and appreciate the talented youth in his constituency.
According to the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Hon. Abdulmajid Abdulwahab said the program aims to recognize and support the younger generation, acknowledging Hon. Shagaya’s excellent performance in representation, facilitation, and development.
He said 48 professionals table tennis players will be participating at the tournament
The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sport Commission, Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, praised the initiative, stating that it will help keep young people off the streets and reduce negative habits.
The APC Chairman of ASA Local Government, Alh. Shehu Yahaya, commended Hon. Shagaya for his youth-friendly approach, urging him to continue his developmental programs for the youth in his constituency.
Member of Technical Committee, Yusuf Mutiu, said the event has been hailed as a significant step towards empowering the younger generation and promoting sports development in the Constituency.
The Event features participants from all Wards in ASA and Ilorin West Local Government.
