The Wakilin of Ilorin Emirate and Chairman of Crystal Group of Companies, Hon. Mashood Mustapha (MM), has presented the sum of N1 million cash to victims of the Challenge Phone Market inferno.
Hon. MM, who was ably represented by the Chairman of Team MM, Hon. Isiaka Mogaji, the Chief of Staff, Alhaji Igbayilola Akande, and the Director of Operations, Alhaji Tunde Aluko, presented the N1 million cash donation to the Executives of Challenge Market on Monday 5th May, 2025.
This was contained in a press statement obtained by Just Event Online TV on Monday
Speaking during the presentation of the cash donation, Hon. Isiaka Mogaji explained that Hon. MM would have loved to be present in person but he was unavoidably out of town.
Describing Hon. MM as a compassionate and empathetic leader, Hon. Mogaji emphasized that the donation was motivated by sincere concern for the victims and not a political gesture. He noted that this was not the first time Hon. MM had extended support to affected business owners. In 2020, during the aftermath of the #EndSARS protests, he made a handsome donation to businesses impacted by the looting of Shoprite Mall in Ilorin.
Hon. Mogaji also appealed to the Kwara State Government to assist the victims, highlighting that many of them had established their businesses through bank loans and are responsible for supporting their families.
Responding on behalf of the victims, the Chairman of Challenge Market, Mallam Garuba Ibrahim, expressed deep gratitude to Hon. Mashood Mustapha. He described the donation as timely and prayed for divine blessings upon the donor.
