Arinola Fatimah Lawal, member representing Ilorin East Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly, has commenced surgical procedures for one of the remaining patients, Abdulwaris AbdulRasheed, at the Eye Complex, University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Oke-Oyi.
This comes after the successful completion of the program’s first phase on February 15-16, 2024, which saw 50 individuals from across Kwara State undergo successful eye surgery, with 9 remaining patients scheduled for later dates.
Speaking with Just Event Online TV, Mr. AbdulRasheed Abolaji, parent of Abdulwaris, expressed gratitude to Hon. Arinola Lawal for footing the bill of the surgery. “She has set a long-standing pace in representation, and she will continue to succeed in her endeavors,” he said.
Mr. Abolaji also spoke about his son’s health condition, saying, “My son has been told that after this surgery, he will regain his sight and see clearly.” He prayed to Allah to grant Hon. Arinola Lawal all her heart’s desires.
