The National Association of Kwara State Students NAKSS and National Association of Nigerian Students, Kwara Axis has appealed to Gov AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to continue prioritizing the interest and welfarism of students at this critical period.
In a media parley held on Wednesday, the National President of NAKSS Kwara, Comr. Abdulwahab Habeebullaj Arewa and Chairman of NANS, Comrade Issa AbdulGafar A., called on the state gov to extend the distribution of palliatives to the vulnerable students and also, include private school students while disbursing bursary.
They thanked the gov for always having the interest of students at heart even before the advent of economic hardship, saying, he had proven himself to be ahumble and proactive man who never gets tired of listening to the yearnings of students.
“We deemed it expedient to put before His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the various issues affecting students in the state and It gladdens our hearts to inform you all that we have got a Governor who have a strong commitment and desire to satisfy the needs of the students in due time as he has cheerfully approved most of our pressing demands, including the annual bursary payment, scholarship for law students as well as some other palliatives that are tailored towards alleviating the economic hardship on the students”.
“Let us remain hopeful and optimistic as the Kwara State Government, under the purposeful leadership of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, is judiciously deploying resources at her disposal to make life easier for people, especially students in the state. Aside from the palliatives being given to students, various strategic measures have also been put in place to address the rising cost of food and other basic amenities in the state”.
“It’s evident that we have got a governor who has been greatly prioritizing our interest, even before the advent of this economic hardship in the country. He’s proven himself to be ahumble and proactive man who never gets tired of listening to the yearnings of the students as improvement of our affairs has always remain a topmost part of his agenda”.

They also stressed that Kwara students will not participate in any planned industrial actions aimed to threaten the peace of the country.

We must not allow ourselves to be manipulated or used as agents of destructing the peace and serenity of the state by any individual or group. We must, at all time, ensure that our hope in a New Nigerian remains very much alive.
