In a bid to strengthen grassroots entrepreneurship, the Chairman of the Awliya Foundation, Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal, ACCA, has donated the sum of ₦5 million to the Alasa Multipurpose Co-operative Society in Ilorin.
The announcement was made earlier today by Issa-Manso Mutolib Ayobami, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Alasa Traders’ Forum, who represented Lawal at a special prayer session organized in commemoration of his birthday.
According to Issa-Manso, the financial support is aimed at empowering members of the cooperative and boosting small-scale businesses.
“It is the intention of Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal, ACCA, that the support will be judiciously used to strengthen the business enterprises of members of the cooperative,” he said.
The ₦5 million donation is part of Lawal’s broader commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and economic development through the Awliya Foundation, a platform known for its philanthropic initiatives across Kwara State.
The event, attended by traders, community leaders, and members of the cooperative, featured prayers and goodwill messages for Lawal in appreciation of his continued support for community development and empowerment.
