Gov AbdulRazaq inspects IEDPU ICT/Skill Acquisition Hub


The Kwara State Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON embarked on the visit to assess the current state of the ongoing project, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Skill Acquisition hub established by the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU). During the visit, the Governor was represented by Hon Razaq Jiddah had the opportunity to witness firsthand the impressive progress of the project on Friday

The IEDPU ICT/Skill Acquisition hub is envisioned to equip young individuals with vital skills in information technology and various other industries, aligning them with the demands of today’s job market. This ambitious project, which has garnered significant attention and support, seeks to address unemployment challenges and foster entrepreneurship within the region.

Upon arrival at the project site, Hon. Razaq Jiddah was warmly received by IEDPU officials led by National President, Alh Aliyu Utman Ota fsi and the project’s engineer team. IEDPU President took the opportunity to brief him on the progress made so far, the challenges faced, and the potential impact this hub could have on the lives of the youth.

Addressing the gathering, Governor AbdulRahman lauded the vision and dedication of the IEDPU in spearheading this initiative, recognizing the potential it holds in creating job opportunities and promoting economic growth in the region when completed . He emphasized the importance of investing in the youth, stating that equipping them with modern skills and knowledge will not only elevate their prospects but also contribute significantly to the state’s overall development.

During the visit, Hon. Razaq Jiddah toured the project site, observing the construction and development of the facility. He also interacted with some of the construction workers and artisans involved in the building process, acknowledging their dedication to the project’s timely completion.

The IEDPU National President, Alh Aliyu Uthman Ota fsi expressed his gratitude to Governor AbdulRahman for his unwavering support and encouragement. He highlighted the collaborative efforts of some individuals which have been instrumental in driving the initiative’s success thus far.

According to Engr Dare Alao, the project’s lead engineer, he expressed that the project is progressing exceptionally well. When discussing the challenges encountered, he acknowledged that the executive governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, has been actively involved and made himself available to address most of the challenges faced
