Gov AbdulRasaq approves the first tranche of local government pensioners salary arrears in Kwara

 

Governor AbdulRahmam AbdulRasaq has approved the first tranche of local government pensioners salary arrears across the sixteen local government areas of the state.

The Chairman, Kwara state Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Umar Danladi-Shero disclosed this today at a Two-Day workshop on Service Ethics and Orientation on Effective Service Delivery at Local Government Areas for the support staff and Personal Assistants organized by the State Local Government Service Commission held at Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies, Ilorin, the state capital.

Alhaji Danladi-Shero appreciated Governor AbdulRahmam for his special interest having for the local government staffers by providing adequate support to the Commission.

In his remarks, the Commissioner-one in the Commission, Mr Abdulganiyu Toheeb-Omotosho appreciated Governor AbdulRasaq for his fatherly support for the success of the training and advised the participants not to keep the knowledge gained during the training but to spread for the development of the state.

Also speaking, the Director Personnel Management, Alhaji Duro Mustapha commended the leadership of the chairman of the Commission for the training and re-training of the staffers of the Commission.

Earlier, the Director of Training in the Commission, Alhaji Salihu Ahmed said he hoped that at the end of the workshop there would be a change of attitude to the service by the participants.

The Two-Day workshop on Service Ethics and Orientation on Effective Service Delivery at Local Government Areas for the support staff and Personal Assistants cut across the Department in the Commission.will end tomorrow.

The program have in attendance of following; Dir of PRS, Alhaji Saliu Ahmad; Legal Officer of the Commission, Barr. Fatimah Hussain; DPM of the LGSC, Alhaji Duro Mustapha, Chairman of the LGSC, Alhaji Umar Danladi Shero; Commissioner 1 of LGSC, Hon. Abdulganiyu Omotosho Toheeb; Asst. Dir. Of Admin, Hajiya Maimuna Sani and Chief Admin Officer, Alhaji Salihu Ambali
