
In commemoration with 2023 United Nations International Day of Education, The Kwara Global Educational Stakeholders on Tuesday, organized the 3rd Kwara Digital Education Sumit, themed; “Leveraging Blockchain for Digital Education in Africa”
In his opening speech, the chairman of Tech2grassroots Africa, Rev. Kunle Ajayi said, technology is the new gold and access to technology and digital resources is vital for individuals and communities to thrive in today’s digital age.
He added that, to ensure that technology is accessible to all and the future generations have the skills and resources needed to succeed, all hands must be on deck.
In his address, the CEO Tech2grassroots, Oludele Ayobami, noted that it has been a tremendous journey closing the digital gaps in Africa with 5 years pilot project in kwara state.
He said, Tech2grassroots resilient pursuit of driving equal access to e-Learning at the grassroot has been greatly impactful with the successes recorded in establishing e-llbraries and building the capacity of over 2000 young people, business, Women, educators, civil servants and students within the last two years.

In his key note address, Director of the Department of Standards, Guidelines and Frameworks NITDA, Oladejo Olawunmi commended the organizers of the program. He assures of NITDA support to yong chaps who have interest in technical education.
In his presentation, the Chairman Fintech association of Nigeria Dr Tunde Brimah ably represented by Mr Akin Oke, while speaking on the theme said, with the evolvement in technology in the world, Nigeria can have its own blockchain in education, like other countries and in order to achieve that, everybody in the country must contribute meaningfully to it success.
Delivering a lecture virtually on Blockchain, a Nertherland based Sunny Jiang said, as the Importantance of education can not be emphasized, It is important to have knowledge on blockchain with the advancement in edutech.
The Sumit had in attendance of representative of Prof Wale Suleiman, Educationists, various secondary schools in the state, among others.
