The G-9 Up Lawal Movement, on Thursday organized a special prayer to celebrate the Chairman of AWLIYA foundation, Mallam Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal.
Islamic clerics gathered at its foundation office at Adewole, Ilorin to pray for one of Kwara’s topmost philanthropist and political frontliner.
Clerics prayed for Hakeem Lawal, describing him as a selfless and courageous man, who exhibits the traits of honesty and the fear of God.
In commemoration of the day, the G-9 Up Lawal Movement paid a courtesy visit to some of AWLIYA Foundation’s executed project in different communities in Ilorin metropolis to check their functionality and gather feedbacks.
Some of the locations visited was:
- Motorised borehole at Kuntu, Ilorin
- Motorised borehole at Amule, Ilorin
- Solar streetlights at Ita Ajia, Ilorin
- Motorised borehole at Popo Giwa, Ilorin
A fact-check was also made to some of the beneficiaries of AWLIYA foundation schorlarship schemes, as some of the beneficiaries were also present at the event.
