FRSC Solicit for continuous synergy with KWARTMA to ensure safe use of Kwara roads

The Federal Road Safety Corps Kwara Sector Command had once again solicit for continous working synergy and cooperation with the Kwara State Road Traffic Management Authority (KWARTMA) in an attempt to ensure free flow of traffic and safe use of the roads within the state.

The request for synergy was made today Tuesday 2nd November, 2021 when the new Unit Commander of Idofian Unit, ACC Yetunde Adedoyin Adeshina paid a working visit to the Authority’s Headquarters in Ilorin to familiarise herself with the Authority and solicit for supports and cooperation in ensuring safe use of the roads especially along Ganmo, Idofian and Omupo axis which falls within her jurisdiction considering the activities of markets on that route and the nature of the road which made it prone to crashes due to carelessness on the part of some road users and market activities.

She commended the Kwara State Government for providing some equipment for KWARTMA which she observed would always be of great assistance in traffic work and pleaded with the government to do more by providing more tow vehicles, ambulances, IT equipment and others to aid the efficiency of the state traffic management Agency in meeting it statutory responsibilities.

The Cheif Executive Officer of KWARTMA Yekeen B. Bello while responding thanked his visitor for finding time for the visit and assured her of the Authority’s continue supports to the Unit, the Sector Command and all other sister Agencies in the State in order to ensure orderliness, safety and socioeconomic development of the state.

He informed his visitor that Kwara is blessed with a listening Governor who he said is passionate about safety of lives and properties of the people of the state and has keen intrest in traffic management considering it strategic importance to urban development.
