The immediate past Director General of the Kwara State Hospital Management Board (KWHMB), Dr. Saad-Aluko Oladimeji, has described the passing of the former Head of Service, Mrs. Modupe Oluwole, as a profound shock and a personal loss that he will forever grieve.
In a press statement obtained by Just Event Online TV , the former DG extolled Mrs Oluwole’s leadership, empathy, and other admirable qualities that distinguished her as an astute, selfless, and assertive administrator. He highlighted her deep patriotism, unwavering commitment to the integrity of the civil service, and dedication to the development of Kwara State.
Reflecting on over three years of their working relationship, Dr Aluko described her as a leader who upheld professionalism in the civil service and took decisive actions to protect it. He recounted an incident involving the late Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Adisa Logun, where Mrs Oluwole went to great lengths—including making a heartfelt plea before the late Chief of Staff—to securing peaceful relationship between the office of the Chief of staff and Hospital Management Board.
He further noted that the late Head of Service played a pivotal role in securing approval for the recruitment of health workers, enhancing welfare packages, and implementing an effective staff audit.
This audit exposed numerous ghost workers, ultimately saving the state government hundreds of millions of naira.
Dr. Aluko emphasized that Kwara State has lost a rare gem and an exceptional administrator, whose absence will be deeply felt.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to her family, associates, and the civil service community, praying for Almighty God to grant her eternal rest. He urged her loved ones to find solace in her impactful life and exemplary leadership.
Additionally, he conveyed his sympathies to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and the entire state.
